Taro Croquettes

Known in Mauritius as gateaux arouille.


  • 1 large taro
  • crushed ginger
  • pepper soy sauce



Grate the taro, season with pepper, crushed ginger and soy sauce.

Add salt if necessary or add some soy sauce. Roill into small balls.

Fry in batches in hot oil until brown.

Drain on absorbent paper.


Serve hot with chilli sauce.
